Automatic Fire Curtain (AFC) / Smoke Curtain
A life safety system designed to prevent the spread of fire within a building. The AFC consists of rollers covered with fiberglass fabric, housed in a compact casing. In the event of a fire, the system automatically activates when connected to the building’s fire alarm system.

Application
Lift lobby and elevator separation
Although elevator doors may be fire-rated, they cannot fully seal against smoke passage. AFC with a smoke seal serves as an alternative to smoke stop lobbies, providing effective smoke protection at the elevator door.
Fire Compartmentalization
To prevent the spread of fire from one zone to another, AFC plays a crucial role in fire compartmentalization.
